Abstract:

This course is designed for professionals seeking to initiate cost-based measurement or improvement programs in their respective organizations, or to add to their knowledge of effective measurement systems and quality standards.  Once participants have finished the course, they will have the information, tools and methodologies needed to apply the concepts and areas of Cost of Quality and continuous quality improvement to specific projects, or even organization-wide.  Specific course topics include:

  • Foundations of Cost of Quality
  • Applying Cost of Quality to Different Environments
  • Blending Project-based and Systematic Cost of Quality Approaches
  • Analyzing and Collecting Cost of Quality Data
  • Using Cost of Quality for Managing Continuous Improvement

Upon completing each topic, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify and apply key Cost of Quality principles, including critical success factors
  2. Identify ways to apply Cost of Quality to different types of improvement initiatives and perform calculations regarding supplier Cost of Quality
  3. Identify how project-based and systematic quality approaches can support and benefit each other
  4. Identify Cost of Quality data collection and analysis strategies to meet business goals of reducing risks and lowering costs
  5. Identify key change leadership principles that can help enable Cost of Quality implementations

This course covers topics ranging from the foundations of quality-cost methodologies to specific Cost of Quality applications within a number of business and organizational settings, including industrial, service-oriented and small business environments.  The course concludes with an overview of change leadership principles that can help participants establish, prove and expand both improvement and quality cost initiatives.

Notes:

 

1. A 10 % discount will be applied to the purchase of 3 or more registrations either on-line or via invoice.

2.  This course will not be held if there are five or fewer registered and paid attendees.
